Jean Anouilh's play Antigone is a tragedy inspired by Greek mythology and the play of the same name by Sophocles. Antigone attempts to secure a respectable burial for her brother Polynices. But King Creon decrees that Polynices is not to be buried or even mourned, on pain of death by stoning. Will Creon be able to reason with her?
