We are extremely proud to announce our first “Fearless Family” production: "Legally Blonde: The Musical.” This will serve as our transition musical from our season of Defiance Volume 1: Upheaval into our Volume 2 season (soon to be announced.)
Every role in this show was precast using our Fearless Family (and a few new faces) in order to highlight the dedication of our actors/techs/production team and to give them all the platform to use their voice.
In the current climate of the #timesup and #metoo movements, this show smashes through all time barriers to tackle such topics as gender bias, sexual harassment, and sexual assualt. This is not just something that is happening in Hollywood. It is happening all around us, even within our own theatre community, and more often than not it has become a place where inappropriate behavior is shrugged off as if nothing more can be done.
We at Fearless are saying #timesup to those who abuse their power in our community. All spaces should be safe. This behavior can not be ignored.
Legally Blonde will be performed at The Bakery Arts Warehouse, 2132 Market St. Denver, CO, on January 4th, 5th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 17th, 18th and 19th at 7:30pm.
